After reflecting on an amazing trip to Paris, walking through the showrooms of Riccardo Grassi, More Dash, and Tranoi, I decided that the most important trend-makers for me were those brands delivering fashion individuality and unique luxury style that is worth the investment. Here are my Top 5 picks – styles to watch out for this Spring, hunted exclusively from Paris Fashion Week.

For me Paris was all about going off-piste, hunting on radar and off radar, going by word of mouth recommendations from influencers and fashion insiders, and insider tips from the times I shared with members of the BYW community, including Caroline of Marquis Paris. This is how I discovered my key trends exclusively hunted for you from Paris.

For Restless Sleepers, Bespoke Your World

1. Pyjama Dressing

The Brand F.R.S. – For Restless Sleepers – is showcasing something new, and, for me, something truly original. It’s a new way to wear relaxed elegance from the bedroom to the street. Pyjamas, loungewear, silk dandy elegance, I would match these trousers with either a relaxed jumper or a contrasting blazer – it’s a key trend I’ll be wearing this summer.

2. Luxe Pastels

Seen on polished satin coats and prom skirts by Bahrain designer Noon by Noor, who I hunted with Caroline at a tucked-away store called Le 66, full of unique luxury style.

Vilshenko, Bespoke Your World

3. Folklore

Its not a new trend, but it is one that just keeps growing in relevance for me. Seen and loved at the Riccardo Grassi showroom: British-Russian makers Vilshenko, showing for autumn bold black, cream, and red capes, full of embroidery. Why? I love it because this level of craftsmanship stands out when you wear it, people can really see that you are wearing something that is expertly made and a worthwhile investment.

4. The Art Work Clutch

Lolita Lorenzo clutches are made by Carol Muthiga… Carol spent two years working out how to combine her Kenyan roots and diverse cultural influences with contemporary making techniques. The results are clutch bags that are work of art in their own right, each piece taking a week to hand-make: West African textiles covered with resin to make colour pop pieces. Inspired by women, her children, and a deep desire to promote and support ancient communities whilst at the same time making something super wow and super luxury. I love that each piece is a one off, to me, what can be more luxurious than that?

5. The Hidden Gem boutique of Paris

Le 66. I love that this store was revealed to me by Caroline, a BYW woman, who is behind our movement championing unique luxury style. Le 66 is hidden away in a rather average shopping centre, in Paris Montaigne district. Their brand mix offers off-the-beaten-track designers, but my number 1 highlight had to be the amazing Noon By Noor showcasing modern contemporary. I wanted to buy every piece.

In round up, getting lost in Paris was absolutely my theme of the 4 days. I made it my mission to walk everywhere, but I found it was through the getting lost that I found collections and people that have wowed me most, and that I will sharing and showcasing on the next steps of the BYW journey building our world of unique luxury.

Love Sara
